The secrecy of correspondence also applies to digital communication. Technical and organizational measures ensure that content is only accessible to authorized parties. Data is encrypted during transmission and storage. Temporary plaintext processing is only carried out for specific purposes in controlled, isolated processing zones and without persistent storage in plaintext.

Yes. ePost is fully compliant with the DSG. Data is processed and stored exclusively in Switzerland. The transmission is end-to-end encrypted, and every processing step is logged. A DSG-compliant data processing agreement can be concluded at any time.

ePost is committed to the security standards of the Swiss Post and is certified according to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. We rely on four pillars of protection:

Sent documents and delivery confirmations are available to you during the retention period. With the ePost Archiv, you can implement the retention periods relevant to hospitals and clinics (10 years after OR, up to 20 years after KVV for patient records) in a revision-proof manner.

A digitally submitted letter that is delivered digitally (in the Swiss Post-App) or physically (in the mailbox), depending on the recipient’s preference. Senders only need the postal address – ePost takes care of the rest.

Patients without the Swiss Post-App and digital opt-in will continue to receive the shipment physically in their mailbox. As the sender, you don’t have to do anything; the delivery channel will be automatically selected.
