It combines the binding nature of a letter with the speed of digital communication. Public authorities, companies and private individuals send and receive mail efficiently, securely and sustainably.

Hybrid delivery

Depending on their choice, recipients receive their mail digitally in the ePost app or physically in their letterbox. Once a digital delivery has been made, Swiss Post informs them immediately – via push or e-mail.

SmartSend now offers you more options:
  • Intelligent SmartSend dispatch: the best delivery method is selected automatically (ePost, physical mail or eBill).

  • Registered mail: Registered mail can now also be sent abroad.

  • A Mail Plus: For important and time-sensitive consignments including consignment tracking.
In the next step, specify the desired franking. This will be used if digital dispatch is not possible. You can choose between A Mail, B Mail and B Mail bulk mailing (from 350 recipients).

What is the digital or hybrid letter?

A digitally posted letter that is delivered digitally (in the ePost app) or physically (in the letterbox), depending on the recipient's preference. Senders only need the postal address - ePost takes care of the rest.

Who is Digital Letters suitable for?

For anyone who needs to communicate in a binding, secure and verifiable manner: SMEs, bulk mailers, authorities and institutions. Recipients are free to decide whether they receive their mail digitally or physically.

According to which standards is my data protected?
