Solothurn Buildings Insurance (SGV) serves over 70,000 customers in the canton of Solothurn. Every year, it sends out thousands of policies, invoices and decrees, which still have to be sent on paper for legal reasons.
The previous mailing process was time-consuming and not fully automated. The company was looking for a solution that complements existing systems, is technically up-to-date and digitally controls the physical dispatch - from printing to delivery.

Digital connection for automated letter dispatch

SGV uses the ePost Hub to handle the extensive dispatch processes simply and securely. All dispatch data is transferred digitally to ePost via two interfaces - an SFTP server for large volumes of data and a web service for individual documents. There, printing, enveloping, address verification and dispatch take place automatically.

Employees can therefore transfer documents directly from their existing application, without media disruptions or manual work steps. Individual dispositions or policies can also be triggered individually via the web service - a decisive advantage in day-to-day business.

The result is a flexible, secure and efficient solution from a single source that reliably processes both mass mailings and individual items.

According to Michel Fuchs, CIO, ePost's solution was able to ideally fulfill the three main requirements: "We received a flexiblesolution in the form of a platform and can therefore also make minor adjustments ourselves. Secondly, ePost has an up-to-date interface that adapts to our system instead of the other way around. And thirdly, of course, the costs also played a role." The fact that ePost handles the entire printing and dispatch process, including quality control of the addresses, is greatly appreciated.

In addition to mass mailings, ePost is also helpful for individual queries. "Our employees can alsouse the web service tocall up individual policies or partial invoices and immediately send them for printing and dispatch," explains Michel Fuchs .
